Will enjoys a diverse freelance playing career in both modern and historically-informed groups. He works with groups including The Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique, The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra (including as a regular sub-principal sitting no.3 and sometimes no.2), The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Mozart Players and many other freelance groups as well as his own Parallax Orchestra. For a number of years he was also part of both of the orchestras (modern and baroque) of English Touring Opera, undertaking many seasons of work with them. As a chamber musician and recitalist he has a duo with international concert pianist Harriet Stubbs. Together they performed regularly throughout 2020 as part of Harriet’s ‘Daily Socially Distanced Concerts' series for which Harriet was awarded a BEM.

As a session player, he has an ever-growing list of recording credits with multiple UK top 10 albums. He also appears on film and TV scores including as a soloist for composer Isobel Waller Bridge on a number of her projects.

He was part of dodie’s touring band from 2016-2021 and has worked closely alongside her since her first commercial musical releases, having written many of the string arrangements for her earlier tracks especially, and worked as orchestrator on her album ‘Build A Problem’ which reached no.3 in the album chart in May 2021.

He has written full symphony orchestra arrangements for Bring Me The Horizon and US hard-rock band Alter Bridge and string arrangements for many more artists including Architects, Michele Stodart and The Antlers. As a performer he has also recorded with Oh Wonder, LYR, Birdy, The Irrepressibles, Fat White Family, Myles Kennedy, Enter Shikari, Orla Gartland, Oscar Jerome and Songhoy Blues to name a few. During the 2020 pandemic he expanded his remote-recording capabilities and has a busy roster of recording clients.

Will founded Parallax Orchestra in late 2015 as a way of joining his previous career in rock and pop music with the professional orchestral scene. Will is the primary project manager and fixer for the group and has produced shows at the Royal Albert Hall, Hammersmith Apollo and Wembley Arena as well as recordings in studios such as Abbey Road, Air, RAK and British Grove for bands and pop artists as well as commercial clients and international brands.

A founding member of UK rock band Dry the River, he played exclusively with the group between 2009 and 2014 playing over 500 shows in over 30 countries. After parting ways with the band he decided to refocus on violin playing and completed a master's degree at Trinity Laban in violin performance under the tutelage of Ofer Falk, passing with distinction in 2017.

In 2015 he helped establish a new audiology company called Hearology, working as a creative consultant and as the company’s ‘Music Ambassador’. He gave up the role in 2017 to focus on playing and Parallax Orchestra, but still maintains an interest in musician’s hearing and has an advisory role at Hearology from time to time.

Will is fortunate to have been generously loaned a violin by Camillo Camilli, c1740. He plays a viola by Colin Nicholls, and a baroque violin by Roger Hansell.
